Proper Tiki Placement Now, on this is a topic I can offer some help! I spent way too many years putting my tiki in all the wrong places. Boy howdy, did I pay a price for those miscalculations. Wait, you're talking.....Ok, I got a bit confused there for a second, that dang flashin' light always distracts me. Bar placement is easier. Make sure there is enough open floor space for any inadvertent falls. That's how dear old Dad always did it. "putting my tiki"?....I am a golfer, too. The first rule of Tiki Central...you put your tiki anywhere you wanna! |

I know that on Easter Island the Moai all face inland. |

I was under the impression that all Moai are to face West, towards the sunset. At least that's what the tag on my bird bath said. |

Well I guess there's no arguing with the wisdom of the tag. I know this is getting dangerously off topic, but if I may ask, where did you get your birdbath, tikiwahine? |

It is wise to eschew mysticism in favor of rational empiricism, leavened with an idiosyncratic aesthetic all one's own, not requiring comparison or justification. (I know my tone here is out of line with the tone of this thread, I'm just having fun (easily amused).) |

He looks great when the sun hits him as it's setting. He has this squint going on like he's permanently looking into the sun. He also happens to be facing the house, so I guess I've got both bases covered. Sweet Daddy, it was a gift from my parents, but he was bought here in Victoria. There a few places that carried them.($150-$200 I believe) |

Tikis and Statues of Jesus should not face each other. When setting up your Nativity Scene this Christmas, The Tiki should flank one end of the A-frame with the camel flanking the other. Baby Jesus should lay lengthwise in the outrigger canoe. Each angel should have a pufferfish lamp suspended above its head. Sabu |

*Each angel should have a pufferfish lamp suspended above its head. * The wise man has spoken, follow his counsel, as it is wise. Once I was blind, now I see. But if Martin makes me anymore of them "whatchamacallits" I cannot guarantee my visual acuity. The second rule of Tiki Central: What, there's rules? midnite |
