yea yea, you've heard it a 100 times but after purchasing, painting, observing ect for a long time I decided I would give it a crack...swapped a painting for a set of carving tools and set out to loose a finger and gain a tiki. Carved out of a 3 ft chunk of driftwood (which I realize now is not the best way as little pockets of rotten wood, sand, and critters became common) anyhow.....the first one.. |

Great work, I do alot of driftwood I think all that stuff adds character to the piece. I usually leave barnacles on it somewhere. Keep 'em commin' |

Good for a first carve, much better than my first. Paintings are way cool too. Those scratchboard pieces are BAD-ASS!!!! |

hahaha...damn elvis....as for the first tiki i'll be honest...i played around on a small chunk of wood for a while to get a feel for the tools but this was the first "hey everybody else is doin it" tiki....starting out is tough but man, getting a real set of chisels and gouges made a HUGE difference...and thanks to vontiki, i'll soon have another log to spill blood on. |

Excellent first tiki in wood, even if he is an Elvis impersonator. We see tikis sometimes that love the elvis style so I guess it's not just a human thing. Your other artwork is really topknotch too, I Love your "Live-Ride". We MUST See More! |
