The volcano seems to be modeled after the volcano mural inside the Kowloon itself. Seen here: The sugar packet inside the box disappeared. I'm an idiot--I lost it. It did have a 1968 date on it so that's almost certainly when the mug is from. The sugar packet featured the nauseous-looking tiki featured on another Kowloon mug.
