Hey, since some people have been asking, here's the big fat design for the new "Viva Las Vegas" Tiki Mug. It will be available at the event in April. (vivalasvegas.net) It's again being manufactured at "The Farm"!
This is just the sculpt. Should have pictures of the glazed ones soon. Holden may have one.

Hey Now!!...........

Cool, glad you guys are diggin the new design. Thanks for the good words.

Hey Wolli, I don't have a good photo to send, but you'll see me I'll be the guy in the rolled up Levis and black converse.

Sam G! What's up Paesan?

Swanky, you nailed it on the hair

Danny D. you should get your butt out there this year.

Kahu- I don't know??

As far as getting one if you don't attend the show, I would check the VLV site at the time of the show. They used to be available at the show only, but now they've opened an online store. Last year they sold all the leftover stuff there.

Thanks again all you guys.

Saw all the colorways (as Boris and HiphipaHula also did)at the MUGOOMBA bash and they are Slammin! Fatboy Elvis has a nice soft round feelin to him! Reminds me ever so slightly of a coconut monkey too! And the colors are great, all bubbly and happy! Great work!

Here are the 4 color ways; 125 per color. Not sure what Tom's selling these for.

They're big - 40 oz. capacity.

T
teaKEY posted on 01/10/2007

The yellow from the golden earring mug, the green from Tiki Magazine, brown, and the grn/ylw from the jungle head hunter.

Nice, the darker green really shows the detail, but that yellow is more of a limited color.

K
Kahu posted on 01/10/2007

Even more impressed seeing them in color.

And JV, hopefully I am not alone when I say this, please do more mugs. With seeing what artists like Tiki Tony and Tiki Diablo are doing with art and mugs, I really think there is a place for you to join the table and offer up some servings of some tasty stuff!

Kahu-"I really think there is a place for you to join the table and offer up some servings of some tasty stuff!"

Joe is already seated at the almighty table. The mug has a 10 on the back which is appropriate cause I believe that Joe has done about 10 mugs / shots. These mug HERE are some of the best mugs out there. One of the most original Moai designs anywhere and its a full body mug. And Hothead!

Nope, not even close. The 10 is on the back because this is the 10th annual Viva Las Vegas weekender event. BTW, Joe, awesome mug.

I know what the 10 is for, I was just sayinig it is was appropriate because the mug with the 10 is something like the 10th mug he made. I wasn't sure if the poster above with 6 posts knew that.

actually i believe 125 of each color have been made, so yellow is not more limited than any other.

Man am I miss understood latly. That color yellow for TikiFArm is a harder to get color, cause its on less tikiFArm mug over all.

I know that these mugs are all the same number. Man, I just having a bad day today. Just want the day to end.

As Miss Understood do you get a Sash & Tiara? Are they harder to get in Yellow? Was there a Swimsuit Competition? Do you serve a full year, or do you have to split the year with Miss Communication & Miss Information? :P

I think Holden mostly uses that Yellow for mugs where there will be multiple colored runs (i.e., a run of 125 in Blue, 125 in Green, etc.) or unlimited runs in multiple colors (i.e., The Tiki Mug Fabulous 4-Pack), most others are in shades of Brown or custom color glazes.

Very cool, mug indeed. I may have to get one for my mother-in-law (after I get my own, of course). She just went to see an Elvis impersonator show in Choctaw, MS at the Golden Moon Casino.

T

Actually The Tiki Mug Fabulous 4-Pack has a yellow mug, but I don't thiink its that same yellow. This yellow is more mellow and More matte finish looking, althougg, I have never seen it in person.

I think that's just a difference in lighting, and that they worked the glaze into the crevasses & creases of the VLV mug to highlight the details.

 I guess that this is the same yellow. But of all the Kulapepiao Tiki Mug (earring) the yellow was the hardest to get
The picture that I try didn't work so I went with this one now.
and then I forgot about the Moons tiki which the yellow was the hardest to get.

It looks like this yellow from here could be the yellow from the four pack

Thanks Holden. I always thought those "pooled" glazes were more of a mechanical process, that you wiped part of the glaze off of the high parts of the mug while leaving it to pool in the crevasses. I like learning new things. :)
