Every month our local Houston mid-century modern preservation group picks a MCM style house to hold open so everyone and anyone can see it. This month's pick is a great Tiki influenced number that centers around an indoor pool. This house could soooo be tiki-fied up!

Here is the link http://www.houstonmod.org/resources.aspx?sub=props

That home actually makes me want to live in Texas.

At the bottom of the Houston Mod page there is a little link that says "HAR link" or something like that. Be sure and click on it and it will take you to a lot of interior pics.

Oh my gosh, I want that house!

Now if I can only find a house like that in Southern California!

They had some great vintage photographs from the 60's. There was also a photocopy of the 1959 Parade of Homes brochure that showed the pool area in full glory, and with out the little iron fence that now surrounds it.

It is a positively decadent house. I think it is calling Formikahini's name....
