Tiki Garden Venice. California

I found this place by accident last Friday. Behind a screened metal gate was a mailbox that I got a glimpse of as I drove up Venice blvd.
I took a few shots and returned in daylight the next day.

WOW!!! I like it. I suspect the person who lives there may be a tiki artist.

ok I know what it is, but 10 points to anybody that can tell me what the big rusted metal thing is.

Very nice OJ....and I have no clue on the metal thangy so minus ten points for me. Those tikis look very happy there surrounded by wonderful tropical plants and guarding the walkway...prime property for a tiki. :)

Extra points if you know how many Oil Control vs Comp. I say 3+1

Ah ha - that would make it a piston from a large industrial diesel engine.

or a ship engine.

on the oil vs compression rings I would say your probably right, but I'll ask my dad to be more sure.

Excellent photos, Ojaitimo.

Thanks. I asked if he minded me posting these.
Ron lives at the Tiki Garden, he has been caretaking the Tiki for the last few years. He invited me in to take these pictures and return to do some night shots of his lighting. He works on music videos in lighting and you have to see what he has done at night. Very cool.
