Tiki Speakers

I am new to tiki central. I have just started selling tiki speakers. The e-bay listing can be found by keywording tiki speakers or selecting speaki tiki in store search by name. These are hand crafted hardwood tikis sealed from the weather in and out. They use a top of the line 150 watt weather resistant speaker. But the most unique frature is the light. A red, green, blue rotating lights in the eyes, and recessed behind the eyes and in the mouth are red lights that flash to the beat of the music. I have been working on these for almost a year now and feel that the quality is good enough to finally market them. They average 7 1/2 inches in diameter and 20 inches in height and weigh between 7 and 8 pounds. Or check them out on the website http://www.speakitiki.com.

I saw these pop up on Ebay the other day. I was just over at your website, most of your pictures and links are down. Sure like to see more of your products.

What kind of drivers do you have in the speakers? The speakers look nice.

you better do a search here on tiki central....there is already a thread about another maker of tiki speakers on here and a few of us have already purchased them...i like your idea, but i fear you are too little too late with these.....

Did you click on the Tikis? I just checked and everything seems to be working fine. Try it again and see if you still have problems. If you do, than I have work to do. The specs on the speakers are: 5 1/4 two way, Musical power 150 watt, normal power 75 watt, sensitivity 86db, frequency 80hz,response 20Khz, Impedance 4 Ohms. Their construction is poly composite cone, beutel surround, high temp voice coils and silk dome tweeters.I have just figured out an internal design change that will allow me to use a 6 1/5 in. two way that will increase the power handling and output 25 to 50 watts. They are used straight out of the box with no additional drivers (not needed). They hook up to a customers stereo and run through an external control box that controls the lights then out to the tikis. The RGB lights in the center eye are switched so they can be turned on or off and just run the red accent lights (the ones that flash to the music)to be able to change the effects.

I checked out everything on my end it all seems to be working properly, I got ahold of a freind of mine who knows more about these things than I do, says it worked fine for him but he will also look to see if there my be a problem somewhere.

Rick, I like the way you are going with these, but you should offer some unpainted or painted (or burned) with black detail. Search around and you'll see what I'm talking about.

As for your image problem, it could be that when you built your pages on your computer, the images weren't in a specific folder. I run FrontPage 2K and if I don't keep all of my HTML files and image files in the same folder, I get a broken image problem. Hopefully that's the problem, a very easy fix. After you move the images to that folder, you'll need to relink the photos in your web page program. Then upload everything again copying over what you have on the server. If that's the problem, it will be an easy fix.

I also wanted to add that if you decide to download a template to use, make sure you understand raw HTML so you can get rid of any unnecessary codes. Also make sure all images are in the folder (I always copy the original images over to the web folder, just for back up reasons.

I have these which is what you are asking about. They have a stained finish. Most of the dark areas are burnt, some are paint to bring out the accents that where to light. I am working on the picture viewing issue right now.

All the site issues have be addressed and a set will be at the Bahooka for the MS fundraiser

The issue with the images is due to the bad link at the top of the thread in the original post. There's an extra period after the .com and before the slash, causing issues with web browsers requesting the images.
