Sounds great to me but I would like to stay here in Huntington Beach where it's somewhat warm!!!

G

It's 72 right now in Orlando with a forecasted high of 83 tomorrow. There's a reason I put up with our scorching summers.

MMM hot buttered rum! I think I will have one of those. But I may be stuck at home. it started to snow about an hour ago. Oh well gusee I will have to stay home and make art!

I was in my pool today (unheated!). Had to get out after about an hour - got chilled!

T

It's still aloha wear here in So Cal!

UT

It's still aloha wear in my basement but outside we are in the middle of an ice storm here in Kazoo. I'll have to pour hot buttered rum on my car door to get it open in the morning.

Uncle Trav, I'm just south of you in South Bend. I-C-Y here... but I just happened to pick me self up a Land Rover today with heated seats! Back to house now and it's tiki time!

UJ

It's actually warmer today than it has been in W. TX. But I'm warming my blood with some zombies and mai-tai recipes. Don't know if I'm getting' close to TV's recipe, but I'm gettin' close but I'm feeling some kind of results.

60's and 70's in Mobile...gotta love the Gulf Coast :)

Being born and raised in California, I admit to knowing nothing of cold weather, and still hold an idyllic, albeit naive, concept of weather. I really work to remain humble and not say, "Brrrrr, it's freeeezing!" when it's only 50.

I doff my hat to my fellow TCers who in habit less hospitable climes. Take care, stay warm and safe.

T

Snowbird time in Laughlin, NV area. Lots of (casino) charter flights from cold places too. We'll be in the 70s today, the only downside of which is that I have no excuse not to go out and do some painting on the sundeck / patio cover. Warm weather is tiki.

Help! Follow the sound of my voice and get me a drink! Portland is fogged in today!

18 degrees.

A new 8 inches of fresh pow.

By the end of the weekend it will be up to their eyes.

i would, but the I 5 is shut down till monday ~ the 440 mile/7 hour detour is crazy! you're on your own (but i'll be visiting for 4 days in January..i'll bring rum)

My Dad is in Seattle now, he's supposed to be back to work on Monday, but I guess hes staying a while longer.

Jeff(bigtikidude)

All of you are crazy! Snow is a four-letter word you know.

All of you need to come down our way... a low of 70 tonight, a high in the low 80's tomorrow.

And! We have at least fifty more years until the Al Gore effect raises sea levels to the second floor of the house. Most of us will be too old to do anything at that point and I am hoping too soused to notice.

Did I mention we have the Mai-Kai nearby?

mymotiki I live about 30 minutes south of you, we got more snow Sunday and it is still around. Here is a pic of a tiki enjoying the weather.

I dunno. He doesn't look too happy to me. He looks like he'd rather be in Florida. Send him down and I'll make sure he stays warm and happy!

Same boring crap here in Kailua.
An overnight low of 72 degrees....again. Same old High of 85 degrees on Wednesday. More Tradewinds 10-15mph with the usual chance of passing windward and mauka showers.

Ya Know...I thought I detected a Ku likeness and I appreciate the clarification on the wood. I'll be sure to remember what you taught me. Thanks! And again, that's a mighty fine TIKI!

This has been the view from my window for the past 2 weeks, most snow in 20 years, 5ft of fresh powder on the moutain tops last week

My my, Jamie, London certainly looks different in the snow!

I just have rain to offer where I am, so here are some wintery impressions of a glorious Tiki haven, distant in place and time, but not in our hearts:

Thanks Big Brotiki for the "Cool" pics of the Kahiki. What a neat looking place.

Just another day in Paradise here in Texas , why it's so warm out ever the tortoise has come out to bask in the glory of the warm sun , and maybe eat a cricket or two...

T

Where are the New Englanders pictures we have had more snow in December than we had all last year... Come on someone must have a snow show for us?

Snow is falling and we are freezing our tikis off again.

yes, that is a 7ft Witco, and a 12ft out rigger canoe in the snow.

14" in 12 hours.

That makes 27" this month.

W

We have the snows here as well, very popular with the locals!

One of those above tiki pics reminded me of something...

Maybe you should keep an eye on that one. With all that snow he could go nuts.

Sparky's tropical garden:

W

And one more from today because it's a classic and, well, why the hell not?

T

OK, this is last years photo, but believe me it looks the same out side right now! Except it's dark outside right now so you really can't see it. After all it's only 4:09 in the morning here! It's also only 14 degrees! Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Even the cheap stuff isn't spared, but with the rain shadow there's signs of melting.

T

This little guy looks like he's freezing his macadamias off!
