Those two people who are bidding on them are either smoking crack or just trying to artificially drive up the prices. |

These are actually from the limited "Maltese Falcon" edition. When you scratch off the black coating, there is pure gold underneath! [ Edited by: bigbrotiki 2008-09-13 22:37 ] |

ebayers shaenmtaal7( sh(66) ), 0403stuart(s0 (private) ), and I'm trying to figure out who k***v(4) is...These are the 3 names consistantly popping up in the coco joes auctions. I really wouldn't doubt that someone has created up to 5 different accounts with 5 different credit card infos, and bid on their own merch to inflate feedbacks under said accounts. I known people who have had 3 accounts, so they could do the same practice. Also they don't have to lose the item cheaply as they can set the price themselves through counter bidding. Also notice that all the bidders have relatively low feedback (under 100). Either they are e-newbiez not knowing the value(or lack of) the Items, or they are truly one in the same, and are inflating feedbacks for an account stability appearance. Either way, I do not condone their actions on ebay if it is the latter of the two.  |

If Tikisgrl's coco joe sells for a crazy price, then we'll know it's not due to shill bidding. Unless someone has a large cache of these they want to artificially inflate the price for. |

Well, my piece sold for $91.00 and has been paid for - definitely not shill bidding. That's the amazing/perplexing thing about eBay. All it takes is at least two people who want something bad enough to bid against each other for it! [ Edited by: Eddy Brazil 2008-09-17 22:33 ] |

I heard that some of those high bids were pranks from a "birdmanlugz". Also k***V is kevinagogo and he is a dork who obviously does not know how to bid on ebay. That 0403stuart guy is a rich moron from australia who is willing to pay almost anything for these and is an easy sucker soon to be parted from his money if he bids on your stuff. Shaenmtaal7 as far as can tell is just a collector who does not like to lose in a crazy sort of way from my emails to him he regrets spending the money. So I dont know whats going on but I hope they all finally figure out they just paid about 100 x more that what those tiki's are worth. Nuts |

Please be aware if you are selling anthing to this buyer....This feedback was left for this buyer... I AM SELLING TO PAY FOR MY MOTHER'S FUNERAL & ILLNESS AND YOU GO A STEAL $300 ?? konacat2003 ( 3958) Sep-21-08 17:31 Freddie |

Am I missing something? I've bought a few items off of konacat2003 (DuG), and he is a swell guy. I don't however understand if konacat was ripped off, why was Birdmanlugz1 left positive feedback for a negative transaction? Am I reading something wrong here? I clicked on the item, and then clicked on Birdmanlugz1 feedback and he has all green "+" positives... |

Unfortunately eBays feedback system no longer allows negative or neutral feedback to be placed on buyers accounts by sellers. It's stupid, unfair, and real pain in the backside. |

I cant say for sure this is just speculation but if you look at some of the things that went way up I think some of these sellers are also bidding their own stuff up with fake accounts. I cant be positive for sure but it seems like it to me. |

Yeah birdman is a prank bidder but the guy with the sap mother story .....come on who would disclose such personal story/stuff to a bunch of ebay frenzy buyers...I think that guy is full of it to or a whack job. I would stay away from all of them, if you read feedback for konacat he sells prints that are nothing more than printouts from his inkjet or something and passes them of as actual art prints. Sooooo he is not such an honest sam either. Bottom line ebay is full of sharks ask questions about stuff and be careful is all I am saying. |

First off, I would like to appologize to Eddy Brazil, for his topic being derailed. I know I used to get slightly offended when my topics got hijacked into something totally different. So Sorry Eddy! I would like to continue this conversation over at the new thread created especially for suspicious ebay accounts. I added it into the marketplace, as it pertains to sales. Please feel free to add all bogus/suspect account info in the new topic to try and keep TCr's that much safer when it comes to selling and buying. Thanks! |

All of Konacat stuff is back up on eby not even the second or third highest bidder wanted his stuff plus I think the stuart guy who bid on it is Konacat and he is bidding his own stuff up |
