That's priceless. Look at his dogskin cloak...there is a reason that he wears a noble's article of clothing like that. Carvers, while not often royalty in Maori society, were honored socially, cared for, and protected as if nobility. They were seen as "messengers" from the etherial to the earth world. Neat photo.
