Given your gift for carving, I thought of you when I saw this. Seemed as though it might be something you would like for your bar and thought I'd point it out.




(And no, it is not mine,nor my friend's/relative's/sister's husband's uncle's best friend's dog sitter's live-in housekeeper's auction.)

That's priceless. Look at his dogskin cloak...there is a reason that he wears a noble's article of clothing like that. Carvers, while not often royalty in Maori society, were honored socially, cared for, and protected as if nobility. They were seen as "messengers" from the etherial to the earth world. Neat photo.
