More Hawaiian genre then tiki, however I thought she would make a fine addition to my collection.
Couldn't really put this under the velvet painting thread since it is a oil on canvas,
so I started a new thread. This is a very recent acquisition .Looks like the artist is Susan Parks.
Does anyone know anything about this artist ?

Still have not figured out where she is going yet, I have no wall real estate
left in my place.I know she is going to look incredible where ever she goes .
I definitely need a bigger house .

I found this art teacher in Florida.

"Manatee thanks Susan Parks, retiring art teacher, for her service to our school and staff. We will miss her!"

In any case, that is a stunning painting, nice score!

Also found another Susan Parks in TN.
Susan Parks, Chattanooga School of the Arts &
Sciences, February/March, 1993.

Mahalos Tom Slick.Yeah she is pretty sweet I must say.I am going to contact the
person I bought it from and see if the know when it was painted and more about
the artist. The artist was talented thats for sure. The more you look at the painting...
the more realistic it actually appears -if that makes any sense.

24" x 36" .This came from a Hawaiian collector that was collecting for
20 years. She has been slowly selling off her collection the last couple
of years on ebay.Funny thing is I talked to this lady and her and her husband
have never been to Hawaii .

Here's a nice exotic, island-girl painting by illustrator Charles Edward Chambers currently selling for $25k

I'd love to own it for my tiki bar, but a bit out of my price range.
