November's chop will be held at my house in north Vista, on Sunday, Nov. 29.
Come hang out and be arty.

I'm always interested, just depends on the date.

I'm in the San Fernando Valley and have a home with a nice backyard.

I'm willing to host if more than just a few people are interested. What do you San Diego guys think? Too far north?

That's a great offer G, but that may be a little far for this kid...this month anyway...if the rest of you guys want to meet up there, I'll catch the Chop next month :-)

That's really cool of you to offer up your place G! Right on.

I'm happy to host, or I'll bet Monkeyman could be talked into hosting again.

I'm more worried about the when, not the where. What weekend works for you all?

T

I think I only have one free day this month. Sunday the 29th.

The weekend of the 28-29 is my only opportunity too, barring some more important (in my wife's eyes :) ) family event

29th works for me too, and I could host as well. I think we plan for 4WD's place, then if it looks like it might rain, we can always switch to my place.

Bill sez - "Graaawwwwwgh!!! Chop good! Bring Brainssss!"

M

My sons Birthday is on the 29th so we will probably be hosting an overnight for a bunch of kids.

Keep me in mind as a destination for future chops.. Im happy to stay in the rotation.

3 out of 4 people who had a specific preference liked the 29th, so let's do that.
And we'll go with Mieko's plan of chop at my house, and her house if it rains!

If there is ever a chop in the SFV or SGV, count me in. I have done a few chops down south and they are great, but my truck is getting older and the drive getting tougher.

I know there are a few carvers in this area that would like to attend a local chop and since I live in an apartment, I can't host one.

Keep us posted.

H

I know CheekyGirl and I would be interested in a SFV chop.

T

There is plenty of interest in a CHOP in the San Fernando Valley I see...

I'm willing to host a CHOP and a ART SESSION at my home.

I'm thinking Sunday, December 13th as a good date to do so. CHOP by day - Tonga Hut art show that evening.

What does everyone think about this?

B

I'm bringing....

...and a strong coffee for Bill of course.

See you all on the 29th in Vista.

M

The green one at the bottom looks like he has a beard. Get one like that. :)

Date is good for me, if it does rain and we end up at my house, we'll likely have some people upstairs screaming at the TV for the Charger game. I'm assuming Bill will have a radio with the game? Or do I need to bring one?

Mieko

Radio, and TV, for those who like to watch.

B

See you all there.

...mmm...doughnuts...

Looks like you can skip the TV, Chargers have to sell 7,000 tickets or the game will be blacked out

That's right Kinny. Bill rocks and Denver can suck it.

Hehe, nice chop!

Anybody coming who needs my address, PM me. I think only 3 or 4 of you know where my new place is.

The rain has come and gone, so it's ON for SUNDAY!

Anyone wearing raider gear will be tossed in the pond!

Sounds great! It's still raining at my house right now, but the forecast for tomorrow looks clear and nice!
Who's coming???

I'm gonna try and make it there. Also, I'm gonna bring a box full of tiki stuff people can pick thru. My brother went thru and weeded stuff out of his collection. I only collect mugs I like and paper items, so I'll just bring it and people can do whatever they want to do with the stuff. It's mostly mugs and I think a few Coco Joe's items.

Sorry guys, no Spicy Orange Spam for you today - I'm stuck at work and can't make it to the Chop :(

Darn, We'll miss you Mike. I was thinking you were going to try spam ice cream next.

I'm heading up shortly, slightly late. :)

B

I'm leaving shortly to pick up Baba O'Riley, then it's to the Chop and beyond!!

Bowie

I'm running freakishly late. I should be there by 11:30.

I've gotta sell Chargers gear all day so I'll have to PASS (get it?)

I MISSED IT!

how'd it go?
Was it fun?
Any pix?

ditto

Thanks for hosting again, Bill.

It was a little more Swap than Chop for me, but I accomplished my goal for the day of getting the buttons sewn on Mr. NoNaMe's jacket.

Thanks, Buzzy. I love my San Diego Tiki Factory matchbook.

And thanks to Tiki Shaker for bringing the big plastic tub of cool stuff for us.

B

Another "GRAND" Chop! Thanks for hosting Bill - you ALL are the best!
