Cockeyed.com has posted its Cocktail Calculator - an online interface that takes the ingredients of popular (or custom) drinks and uses the combination of ingredient quantities and expected cost to determine the overall cost of a cocktail. For example, it calculates the cost of a Mai Tai at $1.50 based upon the following:

I calculated the cost of my Mai-Tais a few years back and it came out somewhere on the order of $4 to $5. Probably because I upgraded to some of that top-shelf Bacardi. :wink: |

Good idea, not a great setup though. Recipes (as you mentioned for the mai tai) appear to be poor, choices of spirits limited, as are the ingredients. Nice start if the creator is planning this to be an ongoing project. |
