Identification help, please!

We found this at a nearby charity shop (thrift store :)) yesterday. We are lucky that Cambridge University professors seemed to have travelled widely and we occasionally pick up stuff in the wild!

Any ideas on its story? Tiki or not? It's glazed ceramic & about 10" tall.

Great find. Looks to be a fisherman's god from the Cook Islands but I may be mistaken. I'm sure someone can give you some more info on it though. And I think it will fit nicely in any collection of Tiki.

Yes it is Tiki and as Uncle Trav said based on Tangaroa. well done.
