Hi, I am working on a concept in which I need a round belt (like a long o-ring) to drive some pulleys. Needs to be approx 4 to 6 feet long and connected at both ends (continuous). Approximately 1/4 inch thick.
I could also use a flat band also to drive the pulleys.
The measurements are somewhat flexible.
Any ideas???

thanks !

Chain could work.
Please keep the ideas coming--thanks!!

How about a 10.00-20 truck inner tube? They are for semi trucks. They could be about 1/4 thick.
$7-$60 if you want it to hold air. Probably close to free at a junk yard.

How about a piece of rubber or vinyl tubing. You would use glue and a small piece of dowel or something similar to join the ends.

Google something like linkbelt or beltlink . They are addable links to create the belt you like .

Bruce, you should contact Notch. He might be able to whip something up for you, and make it look vintage as well - maybe out of old automotive pulleys and fanbelts.

This might be a modified approach.
