Koa scraps

I noticed a few folks have a liking of Koa. My son mentioned if anyone has need he may be able to get scraps (he works for a Koa/exotic hardwood shop).

I know of it. Haven't heard much about folks working with it. Is it a hard wood? I'll ask my son if they have any Monkey Pod for you.
