I was fortunate enough to get to swap with Ken Ruzic and had to piece together something suitable to frame his incredible artwork. I finally came across a frame I liked and began customizing it to give it a rustic, straight-out-of-a-jungle-expedition feel. I also backed his painting with black velvet to give it even more pop with those intense inks! These pics are not that fantastic as the battery to my digital camera is messed up and I had to go with my trusty blackberry cam. The colors on this painting by Kinny are intense though. First a couple of pics Kinny posted of "the Over-ripe Shrunken Head" so you get a feel for the color of this crazy piece: and a close-up of some detail Kinny posted: Now a pic of good ol' Over Ripe with the frame I customized and backed with black velvet: and a close-up of the frame detail and black velvet: and one of my 6 year old twin girls, Emma, holding up Over Ripe... nearly as big as she is!: Beautiful work, Kinny! I'm proud to be a Ruzic original owner! Peace, |
