"Bamboo" Siding...

I was looking for a way to "tiki" the inside of my panel truck without resorting to individual strips of bamboo...check this stuff out:

The look I want and the strength I need!

Just think, with a few sheets of this, a table saw and some imagination, you could have Tiki-Speakers for your living room, or all manner of bookcases and other furniture!

Thanks for posting that, I think it may make things easier for me to make a tiki bar.

oooh I am thinking a nice headliner for my '56 wagon. Thanks for posting!

I glanced at that page, pretty cool and not excessively expensive. What is it made of, resin?

According to the website, it is "high-density molded polymer."

I'm curious so I requested a free sample. We all know how pictures and actual product can be two different things.

Mahalo!

Please let us know how it turns out!

I sent for samples of the bamboo too...it's pretty cool. They sent me a section of the 3" board and a piece of the 3" molding, it's a very stiff high-density foam, (you can't crush it with your hands), and it looks very authentic!

You could probably cut this with just about any cutting tool you have, although it might be a bit too hard for a razor-knife...a fine-tooth saw would be perfect! You can even sand or file this stuff very successfully.

It's about $64 for a 2x4 sheet and you can choose 3" Giant, 2" Large, or 1" standard bamboo...it also has excellent insulating properties and can be ordered in a fire-rated version for commercial use.
