OK, you got it!.. has stated in my Tiki Magazine Article about APE-3, Not only did the palm-bark f' up any knocking sound by buffering the log/wood ... it also grabbed ahold of my Ax head making it hard to keep any type of beat... BUT! when i tried to wrench it out of the bark... The Ax head snapped off!! and flew into the newbie fans of APE!!! OK, it really just fell pretty much straight down to the floor about six foot (the antique wood wood dance floor). but makes for good story....
