Ha, pegged that one well, DC! Rory, I think "peanut" refers more to the fake chisel marks that some of these dull glaze/glossy rim mugs like Trader Dick's had. Lake Tiki is a master of applying them to wood carvings, I really dig that style, too. This mug is indeed a fine, subtle homage to mugs of old, right down to its simple typeface. |

I think this Tiki from Hawaii must be the inspiration for the original rendering from the Kalua Room which in turn inspired the TC artists. DC |
