Great Mug,

The classic Peanut style is a personal Fav.

One of my favorite modern mugs, happy to own one. Don't know about the classic peanut mug style though?

More of a Kalua Room style if you ask me!

DC

Ha, pegged that one well, DC! Rory, I think "peanut" refers more to the fake chisel marks that some of these dull glaze/glossy rim mugs like Trader Dick's had. Lake Tiki is a master of applying them to wood carvings, I really dig that style, too.

This mug is indeed a fine, subtle homage to mugs of old, right down to its simple typeface.

Way cool mug Jim and Bosko!

Tiki Diablo,

I see you are a fan of that Kalua Room Tiki image as well!

(Ad from the premier Spring 2005 Tiki Magazine).

DC

Good call DC, I guess great minds think alike LOL!

Bosko

I think this Tiki from Hawaii must be the inspiration for the original rendering from the Kalua Room which in turn inspired the TC artists.

DC

That one really does look similar to the Kalua Room.. Is that over on Oahu at the museum??
DC, You never cease to amaze me at images you find.. AWESOME MAN!!:D

Beautiful mug Jim and Bosko, hope to get one before they sell out!
