I posted this elsewhere but didn't have much luck. Hopefully someone can help me.. I'm Also no to good with forums so if I broke a rule I apologize. Im new to this site, I found it while trying to research who painted this lovely velvet. It is titled on the back as |

I could find no mention of this artist anywhere, My guess is he/she This was not a famous Velvet Artist is the best we can tell you |

Hello and welcome. I have a black velvet by that artist (Walter Thoon) but can give you little detail about him from my research. I don't think the 7 under his name is a date but just a flourish in his signature. It does look like it is from the late 60s or 70s. Not a well known artist as far as I can tell. I like the painting. |
