Mrs Fury found a bowl with the three wahine's at the base but they were smaller and more detailed than other bowls I have seen. It was also more brown than white and is stamped "Trader Vic's Trading Post" on the bottom with "Japan" stamped on the base of one of the girls. Any info from you TV experts will help. Mahalo

Makes me wonder if the Trader Vic's gift shops were called Trading Posts?

Is that the bowl on the shelf in Sabu's excellent Trader's Beverly Hills post?

Too small to tell for sure but let's pretend it is. :)

The bowl is almost the same size but the trading post one does not have the beefed up edge

The girls look more fragile (note the difference in the arms) so maybe they changed the design due to breakage

Thanks for the pix Boris...I think it is the bowl in the photos

Ron that's an earlier Scorpian bowl(late 1940's ) and it appears to be Tepco .
Tepco made bowls and mugs for several tiki estblishments as well as Trader Vic's.
Have had several over the years I have bought and sold .More detail on the sculpt
as well as the paint detail thus more sought after .Hope this helps .
