Trader T, thanks for the link to the Searle blog. Amazing artwork, sadly Ronald Searle passed away last year. How did you make the connection from an okay find on T C to such a cool ad campaign by Lemon Hart/ronaldsearle blogspot?

This is what was inside.

I know the middle one is typically used for grabbing pickles from tall jars, and the one on the bottom is used for cherries and olives, but the one at the top has me stumped. Anyone know what that gadget was used for? All three have mother of pearl handles. They will be finding a space in the new wetbar once I get to unloading dishes and such into it.

I've seen the shaker before on e-Bay, but I think the first Searle images I saw were in this illustrated Lemon Hart cocktail book:

Copies can still be found occasionally/inexpensively through bookfinder.com or other used book listings on Amazon, etc...

Last weekend yielded a few sets of these tabasco sauce drink glasses with fun graphics and this ice bucket with illustrations of most of the records that are in the vinyl section of Goodwill’s across America.

Found at local Goodwill today for a couple bucks. Gonna use it to hold water at my tiki bar. Approx 8" tall.
Also found another musical cookie jar which I'm posting at "beyond tiki finds".

I picked these up during the last couple of months.

The pilsners came from a guy selling off a lot of vintage collectables and I think there old but have no makers marks.

I'm using these as shot glasses but they are really sake cups.

This mark was used from 1921 to 1941, these cups had been part of a set that included a decanter shaped like the grim reaper with the word poison on it.

Scored this at a little thrift store full of overpriced yuppie women's clothes! It's a very cool globe decanter. I'm not sure the age, but I love it.

Big K, That is so cool! Took me a little while to see the continents. Are they etched on glass? Is the whole thing Glass?

Yes. it's all glass. Sorry, my photography skills aren't great. I just filled it with sand from Seal Beach!

Found these sold as a set for $1.30.

Not sure if this fits in the thread but here we go. I have debated buying on of these cask bars for a long long time. They come in all sizes and hang one the wall and hold a decanter or two and an assortment of small glasses. I took the plunge with this one because of the unique oval shape and the small size. It was empty and a bit beat up but will be fully stocked soon with many vintage goodies. Had to prop it up in one of my vintage Homecrest lawn chairs for the photo shoot.

Got this vintage pour spout in my Christmas sock.

Recent finds. An electric ice o matic and a super mint condition Orange Juice extractor probably from the 40's patented in 1934. They both work like new and will look good on my bar.

My wife bought this at Don’s mrktplace today. A birfday gift for me. I luv this stuff! Even had the original 46 drink recipe booklet. Most are Southern Comfort based.

Wife snagged this 50’s/60’s decanter sans stopper at a furniture resale store

My wife bought this “Ice-A-Mat at Don’s Mrktplace Saturday and surprised me with it yesterday. Shown next to one of my other ones (yellow) just for the heck of it.

The pic makes these look like shot glasses but no they are vintage Reno casino rocks glasses.

Found this dbl old fashioned at a thrift today. Tonys on the Pier is still operating. Tonys Fish Market is gone.. You got to keep the glass at both places. The Market glass turns up a lot less frequently then the Pier one. I have six from the Pier. Btw, the fisherman is not missing his hand-it’s in his pocket

The Ice bucket on the left was found several years ago at a thrift. I beat it up pretty good-it’s my favorite. My heart broke when I dropped it recently and I cracked the bakelite trim. I also tweaked the lid out of round. I was thrilled to find another one at the same Savers yesterday.
For some reason the design reminds me of my first car, a 56’ Chevy Bel- Air.

Found at a thrift in palm springs this morning. The ice bucket matches a pitcher we own that is also aluminum.

Bought this ice crusher cuz I liked the style/lines. Thought it might be vintage although it looked very new. It’s made by Metrokane and they are still churning out plenny ice chrushers.

I was fortunate to find six of these on the shelf at a local thrift. My wife luvs this stuff

I love that pattern. I have a set of punch glasses with it that we hardly ever use. Been looking for rocks or highballs that I would get more mileage out of. The pilsners are awesome. One of these days I'll take pics of some of my vintage wares.

Found yet another Ice-o-Mat. Couldn’t pass it up at 5 bucks. This was initially sold at a “White Front Store” sometime prior to 1963 I’m guessing. There is no Zip Code on the stamped label addressed to the store. There could be other reasons for the lack of the Zip so I’m not totally convinced. This machine appears to have never been used-instructions, mounting hardware, etc. were still in their paper.
White Front Stores were in their heyday during the Sixties in SoCal and most of the west coast

Found today at an Orange County Assistance League thrift store. It’s silver or silver plated with pewter feet, wings, and tail.I have more shakers than I’ll ever need but I have wanted one of these penguins for a long time.
Most of the ones that I have seen are stainless and don’t have feet. I would certainly have been very happy finding one of them so you know I’m thrilled with this one. Btw, I looked at 20 pages of Google images and did not find a match. No markings save the number 13 on the bottom.

Kept an eye out for a Penguin ice bucket to go with the penguin shaker shown in the previous post. Found this West Bend model in Palm Springs on Tuesday.
