Hello Tiki-folks, my planets have aligned and I am in the middle of a tiki road trip!

I will start this post two weeks ago at Don the Beachcomber, Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii! A very cool resturant and bar right on the Pacific Ocean.

Don's flight of mini Mai-tais. From left to right: Don's Green Flash, Topless, Don's Original, and Pele's Volcanic.

Don's Original mai-tai. Yes, it was a little windy while I was there.

This past weekend I went to Trader Dick's last day.

Dick's mai-tai was quite good! Too bad there were no mugs left.

That's all for right now. Tune in for the next installment in a few days!

My husband and I went to Don the Beachcomber on the Big Island in August. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! I look forward to your journey. Where is Trader Dick's?

More fire dancing.

Ironically, I'm in the airport and I can't get one if these, a jet pilot!

I'd say you must have hit the lottery. Glad you were able to do all of that and thanks for sharing. I may have never been to any of those awesome destinations...yet but I am heading to the Mai Kai finally. Yee haw.

Thanks for the kind words everybody.
It's too bad that I didn't win the lottery, it's just that a number of things fell into place. Besides, if my credit card doesn't catch fire, I'm ok, right?!
