The Ali'iKane Lounge

After being longtime on again off again lurkers to your little internet oasis, we decided to join in. The sunroom we needed to redo so badly was in need of a little something extra. It is a small room in the back of the house that was originally supposed to be a screen porch area but was winterized by the original owners.

Here we go. Windows that we replaced last year but still hadn't finished finally have a purpose. We tried to listen to some of your advice and added more outlets and a couple of lengths of track for more lighting options.

Stained up some trim boards and some simple router work to add track lighting and cover some seams in the lauhala we picked up for the ceiling.
We trimmed and glued the lauhala to 1/4 plywood before trying to attach it to the ceiling. It made things so much easier. Thank you TC. A ceiling fan and some half rounds wrapped up the ceiling.

To trim out over the windows we ordered some wallpaper from Spoonflower called TikiStripe-coconut by thecalvarium.
Throw up some bamboo slats we found on CL, toss down some Koa style laminate flooring, a little rattan patio set from an estate sale a couple chairs from CL and we are in business.

But we still needed a bar. How can it be a home tiki bat without a bar??

Nice wood work!

Rob

Great job! Now all it needs is some flotsam and jetsam.

Looks really nice.
