Here are the reviews for our BRAND NEW "Christmas with Tiki Joe's Ocean Vol 2" "Cocktail Nation Best Of The Best Product Releases 2016" Tiki Joes Ocean-Angels We Have Heard On High http://www.cocktailnation.beanpod.com -KOOP KOOPER "At long last Tiki Joe's Ocean has released another CD of Christmas music. Great stuff as always from these guys - highly recommended." -DARRELL BROGDON, The Retro Cocktail Hour "Yesterday I received the "new" Tiki Joes Ocean CD in the mail...An essential mix of lounge, surf and exotica all done up in holiday style! (It) includes special guests Marty Lush and Alika Lyman!!...bursting with joyous creativity!!" -JEFF CHENAULT, "What a pleasure to hear Tiki Joe’s Ocean’s exploration in sound! Album opener, Peanut’s Christmas song “Skating” is done pretty straightforward with extra bells and an extended middle including a cool jazz guitar solo. The moody jazz guitar of Kenny Burrell is conjured up by the great Alika Lyman on “We Three Kings” and “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” has a funky jazz feel. Nice inclusion of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy (from the Nutcracker) The instrumental “Mele Kalikimaka” sounds a little bit Hulabilly with the steel guitar having a bit of a Western flair. It’s a nice addition to the collection of covers of the Hawaiian Christmas classic. -OTTO VON STROHEIM, ....... To hear song samples that Koop, Darrell, Jeff and Otto are talking about, and to get your DOWNLOAD of the entire CD TODAY (only $10) go to Mele Kalikimaka~! |

This is from Go Fund Me: While the rest of us have been hating 2017 for various other reasons, our friend Andy of Tiki Joe’s Ocean lost all of his studio equipment and every note of the band’s music to a robbery on February 1st, recouping only 20% through insurance. Here’s an opportunity for our Ohana of the tiki community to help Andy finish rebuilding Here’s what was stolen: https://www.gofundme.com/Christmas-for-TJO?rcid=v2_p25866855_2017-12-14__DataRecommended-emailDigest |
