Wow, was it really 8 years ago when I posted this?

Anyway, DJ Little Danny's Exotica Project is the inspiration behind this album. He contributed liner notes and assisted in the research.

Just ordered the LP set. Looks great! Thanks for the tip.

Darla Hood sings Quiet Village!

This is also available on iTunes for purchase. Good pick.

They even mention some guy named Jeff Chenault in the Robert Drasnin section!! :)

You can listen to the full collection on bandcamp now. Lots of gems!

Arrived just now looks amazing with a great booklet,Wont have time to play it as we are Hukilau bound Early tomorrow AM!

I was listening to this on Apple Music and had to buy the 3 LP set! Thank you so much for turning me onto this!

Much of this music is mastered from vinyl, so with the vinyl version, you are only increasing the sound of stylus travel and groove distortion. CDs are the way to go with this collection.

Agreed - this is a GREAT set! I like to think of it as a "what to get an exotica fan who already has almost everything" type collection. The book is amazing too. Bought the CD set so I could get the book (based on a recommendation here) and was so glad I did!

Was thinking of buying the vinyl to DJ with so thanks for this info - will likely go FLAC and spin it on timecode vinyl.
