Want To Make Constellation Ceiling Like Zombie Village

Does anyone know the products/techniques used to make this? I am hoping to turn the ceiling in my tiki bar into a constellation look like at Zombie Village https://www.instagram.com/p/Br3JrtmgR3i/. The room is 20' x 20'

Really hard for me to tell from the pictures (and I haven't seen it in person) and now I think I'm wrong, but my first thought was a projection. From Doc Parks, quoted in Kevin Crossman's great new review of Zombie Village:

"The projection effects really came as an opportunity that came our way unexpectedly. It wasn’t part of the original design plans. Lightform (https://lightform.com) is the name of the company and they have a device that attaches to a projector and it will map out the surface you’re projecting onto. And they have some really cool filters and effects that they can put onto those surfaces. They are great guys to work with and it’s been fun to bring them in on the project. We have these great carvings from these amazing artists and it’s great to see that work collaborated with what Lightform can do."

Anyway, the lights you found look like they might work great between some sheer black fabric and the ceiling. I'd try that idea (especially at the price).

On that tall ceiling, I'd bet it is simply christmas lights up there. It looks very 3D to me.

My plan was to drill holes in plywood and insert small LEDs into them and then attach that plywood as the ceiling with everything run off a switch somewhere. Still mulling that, but my new space only has 7 foot ceilings...

I was looking at star ceilings as well; in about half of my lounge I'm aiming for a sort of "night sky" effect. However, I also only have ceilings just over 7', and that combined with time and budget constraints led me to avoid LED/fiber optic options (for now at least). For the time being, I opted for an easy compromise and got a laser star projector. The stars are green laser pinpoints (not white) and the pattern is a little bit regular, but for a quick-and-dirty solution I think it works. At some point I would love to do a fiber optic star ceiling or projection mapping, but I'll have to wait a long time for my wife to recover from what I've already spent so far. :)

I looked up Lightform and it looks like fantastic technology! After reading the blog post you linked, and watching the video on Lightform's website, my understanding is that the projection is on the tikis, statues, other objects.

I should start posting photos of my Tiki Bar, which like most, is a major work in progress. Just need to come up with a name...

I also looked into putting in a star ceiling but the cost was prohibited. Instead I added a family of fireflies to one of the rooms.

Definitely fiber optic. As you can see from the picture, in some areas, they have the fiber optics hanging down loosely, but in most areas of the ceiling it looks flush, as if the lights are poking out of holes.

It looks amazing. Really well done!!
