Looks like it's been some time since PolynesianPop has posted on TC, so I wanted to give a shout out to him and his new podcast, "Inside the Desert Oasis Room." I can't remember exactly how I found it, but I've enjoyed going back and listening to the episodes from the beginning. Adrian has been able to capture casual, relaxed conversation about tiki and everything else with his tiki friends. My favorites include: Episode 15: Tiki with Ray I think you'll like it. Check it out on iTunes: https://itun.es/us/zpnsgb.cu [ Edited by: Hamo 2018-01-22 21:07 ] |

I do enjoy the podcast. It's nice to hear other people's stories of how they found Tiki and how they continue to enjoy it. It's also fun to hear people chatting while drinking. [ Edited by: Cindiluhui 2017-04-30 07:13 ] |

Bad news for anyone here who likes Inside the Desert Oasis: Adrian's podcasting equipment was stolen out of his rental car last weekend. The good news is that we can show him some love and support by chipping in to help replace the equipment: |

Supporters have donated four times Adrian’s original gofundme goal. Thanks to everyone here who has been generous. More episodes TC might enjoy: Episode 40: Tiki-Ti (the Sequel) |

I have more catching up to do, but just finished “Episode 65: Adventures in Tiki” with blogger Angelica Navarro, which I enjoyed. Other recent good episodes include: Episode 59: Scott "Tikipop" Taylor and "Tiki Rob" Hawes And if you want to see Syd, he was also interviewed on a recent episode of “Tiki with Ray.” |

I really enjoyed Episode 79 reminiscing about Don the Beachcomber and Episode 81 for TikiCat’s first anniversary. I see Episode 85 released today clocks in just under three hours.... |

Agreed, Hamo. The TikiCat Ep with Mark Sellers and the "tiki celebs" was very enjoyable. Just started listing to #85 this morning. That's gonna last me the rest of the week listening to it while I commute to work. :) Adrian does a great podcast. |

Episodes were backing up, but I finally got through the two shows that were 2+ hours each. Don't miss Episode 89 with Jeff Berry and Mike Sr. The "Iron TikiTender" episodes 95 and 99 with Kelly Merrell and Mark Hooper respectively are good, too. |

It's time for me to show Adrian a little more love here. I'm not quite caught up to the current episode yet, but here's the ones I've really enjoyed since posting last. 100 Martin Cate |

Hamo, Thanks for posting the episodes on here as a quick reference list. I have (as you said previously) been wwaaayyy behind on listening to the podcasts. There are some here that I didn't even know he had done. I can't wait to listen to the Rumpus Room Episode 53 !!! I get distracted, and start listening before searching thru all of them. So many great titles. Thank you PolynesianPop !!!! There is so much great stuff to explore. [ Edited by PineappleWhip on 2023-05-02 13:29:46 ] |

At some point Adrian had mentioned that hosting all the old episodes is expensive, so he wasn't putting them all out there anymore. I just looked at his Podomatic page, and it appears that the oldest one there is Episode 20 with Bob & Leroy, then it skips to 26 with Bamboo Ben, so he must still be keeping up some of the most popular ones. PSA: Catching up on a December episode the other day where Adrian brought up the new Monkeypod Ku mug he's having produced. When I went to his website, I was happily surprised to still be able to preorder it. So if anyone else doesn't have enough mugs.... |

Well, something happened to the iTunes/Apple Podcasts feed on Sunday. Looks like Adrian refreshed it and now only a few episodes are available there, so the best bet for older episodes may be via his website. Also, the mug arrived today, and it's super cool with a two-toned/speckled glaze that's really interesting--lighter on the front, darker on the sides. It also has the "Inside the Desert Oasis Room" logo on the back, which I forgot to photograph. |
