Hello Fellow Exoticans! I live in North Island, New Zealand and I'm interested in starting an exotica band here. I've bought myself a Xylosynth (amazing digital mallet percussion instrument from the UK that can give me vibes, marimba an much more), which is waaaaay cool! I am good to transcribe simple music from a recording, but it is very slow, and fully hearing a piano part is too much for me. I'm struggling to find any exotica manuscript that I can download or buy, and I think that if I had some sheet music I would be having less trouble attracting a pianist! Does anyone have anything they can share, be it music download, link or suggestions of any sort?? I would be very grateful!!!! Thanks! |

GailEnVoyage Welcome! Boy how I wish I lived near you. It would be amazing to start and Exotica band in New Zealand. Alas I'm in the US. There is sheet music out there Les Baxter. But outside of classic Hawaiian tunes, there isn't anything else I've come across in the way of serious Exotica sheet music. If you get a goos piano player with a good ear, they can transcribe stuff for you. Best of luck!!! Keep the the Exotica torch alive!! MARK |
