This item may be authorized, but somehow I'm thinking it's not.

Talk about your copyright infringement!

Here is a look at Tiki Farm's Warrior mug for comparison:

Yeah, I'd say we have an exact rip-off there. Good eye, Tikiwahine.

Now let's sick Holden on 'em!

Just curious...Have you ever seen Flounder's beautiful mug paintings? Would you call his ripoffs? Then why would the artist that painted this Tiki Farm mug with a girl sitting in it be a ripoff?

Not only have I seen one, I own one(not of a mug though) But I can't speak for Flounder.

I don't think it's up to me weather or not this is ok, it's up to the original artist and/or owner or the design.

Seeking permission to do pretty much an exact replica to sell in mass quantities dosen't seem ok in my book, especially when the artist is still alive.

Now I'm a graphic designer, and I would never even think about using someone else's image for my work, unless it is public domain, or I have permission.

Paintings are one's own artstic representation, and one of a kind. This image is far to close to the original in my opinion, expecially since it is a new item. I feel personally that the artist should have consulted with the correct person, but like I said, it's a case by case thing. To me, it looks like it may be at least partially computer generated.

It's not up to me, but I feel that Holden or Squid or whomever should at least be aware of it.

For all I know, "Tiki Palace" may be using the warrior mugs at their establishment to serve drinks in! They could have a big order with Tiki Farm that I don't know about. I just wanted to get the message out there.

Flounder's stuff is ART, just like Andy Warhol and the Campbell's soup paintings.

This is just a lazy graphic artist taking the easy route to making a logo.

looks more like a generic tiki bar logo design thing.
Doubt that its an actual establishment.

least he coulda done is not trace the exact design which looks as if thats what he did.
Found his web site.
He seems too creative to copy another's artwork. He coulda come up with his own proprietary tiki..

I would be most happy to assist in the breaking of the culprit(s) legs. Or...the pool is 9.5 ft deep--we could tie Sugarpie and Ana Nicole Smith's cement block to their feet and throw them in.

An excellent quote that the military has inherited
(Best to them, though)

Sharp eyes, but it would have to be a wahine that spotted that one.

Most of the guys were saying "what, there was a tiki mug in that graphic?"
