Hey there, I was wondering what type of wood do you use to carve the tikis with? I wouldn't mind trying myself at it but dont know what type of wood to use. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks. |

So many different types of wood to use. Cool. I guess I will have to play around with them and see what I can come up with. Since I am very new to carving(never carved before at all). Thank. |

I don't know what size of wood you're going to carve, or if you're using power tools or not, but I carve smaller tikis with micro knives and my favorite wood so far is mahogany. It looks great, carves easy, finishes well, and feels good and heavy in your hand. I'm sure everyone's favorite is discovered only by experience though. |
