Anyone ever weave their own thatch?

Was just thinking of all the palm leaves lying around here after the Santa Ana winds pass through. Anyone know any thatch weaving techniques?

I used to weave palm fronds almost everyday when I lived in Fiji. I also have pictures of the prosess. I'll look for them and try to get it posted for you. Dawn
