It’s fest time again! The Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach is holding their annual Pacific Islander Festival Saturday and Sunday, June 2-3, 2007. This year’s theme is the birth of surfing in the Pacific Islands. More info can be found here. Admission is $20.95, but there are a number of discounts if you plan ahead. |

Unfortunately, 2 weeks notice when we're moving into busy Tiki season we're now booked for that same weekend! :( Oh well, maybe it will be posted next year sooner so I can book it in advance. |

Today's Los Angeles Times Show Section has a $5 off per person (Limit 4) Aquarium Events Discover the rich and diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands through traditional craft demonstrations, ethnic cuisine, educational programs, storytelling, and an ocean of entertainment, including music and dance performances. This year’s Pacific Islander Festival will highlight the birth of surfing in the Pacific Islands. Performances, music, children’s activities, and more will highlight Pacific Islander cultures’ ties to surfing. Watch hula performances, listen to Tahitian drumming, try out ancient Hawai’ian games, enjoy island cuisine, and admire artisans as they create traditional weavings. The Pacific Islander Festival will feature various cultures, including Hawaiian, Chamorro, and Tahitian. Sunday, Jun 3, 2007 Cost: Included with general admission to guests. Free to Aquarium members; 20% off for their guests. |

Try using a AAA Cards or look in Show section of local newspapers. They always have coupons :) |
