Not just bumping for the sake of bumping, but we just received confirmation on an addition to the screening of "Rock That Uke" here in Sacramento: In addition to director William Preston Robertson being on hand for a Q&A following the film, Robert Armstrong (who is featured in the film) will also be in attendance to play the ukulele. If Robert Armstrong's name doesn't immediately ring a bell, he was the creator of the underground comic character of the early 70's, Mickey Rat, as well as being a founding member of R. Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders. About "Rock That Uke" The film was co-directed by William Preston Robertson, who has lent his voice to numerous Coen Brothers films and authored the book "The Big Lebowski: The Making of a Coen Brothers Film." That's all Friday, July 13. 7:00 PM. Only $5.00! At Fools Foundation - 1025 19th St, Sacramento, CA 95814. That's off of K St between 19th & 20th next to the back end of Old Spaghetti Factory. |
