came across this on ebay... the mugs appear to be straight out of trader vics but this is dobbs house. what gives?? |

Many of them were non-exclusive off the shelf styles from restaurant supply manufacturers. |

Borrowing images from other Tiki establishments menus was a common occurrence back in the hay-day of these places. Whether permission was given or not was another matter. Menu images, word fonts and exclusive designs were all fair game. |

it is pretty interesting to see just how many establishments all had the same mug design. tiki bobs is pretty unique but even HV tampa got that design. i assume it was after tiki bobs closed? has anyone ever seen a tiki bob swizzle stick, plate or glass? ive only ever seen the mugs. |

I haven't, but I think there's an awful lot of Tiki Bob salt and pepper sets out there. |
