birch

there's (what i think is) a birch tree in my backyard that hovers over the house at a very precarious angle. the previous owners (we just moved in) probably should have cut it down years ago but didn't (b/c they were cheap?).

anyway, i'm thinking of cutting it down myself & using the trunk to make some tikis for my garden. how is birch for carving tikis?

I have a nice piece, but haven't started on it yet... I say give it a try...
