Just finished up an afternoon of Fateful Trips

THE FATEFUL TRIP

3/4 oz. Lime Juice
3/4 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Bar Syrup
1/4 oz. Orgeat Syrup (we used TCer SparkleMark's homemade Orgeat)
1/2 oz. Apricot Brandy
1 oz. Gold Puerto Rican Rum
1 oz. Dark Jamaican Rum

We are all kinda lost at sea right now.

Excellent pic, man.

A

One is enough lately....losing my edge, I guess...

Ounce of Porto and an ounce of Ron Barcelo.

Finally people are drinking again! I thought I was the only one for a while there. Cool pics everyone! I'm just drinking some limeade...I tried a Mai Tai w/ key limes last night, so now I've got about 20 key limes that are about to go bad. A lot of work for what they are, if you ask me.

H

Kahalacruzer, we all drink but we don't post cause we are lazy. this year my lime tree was bursting with limes, I must have had hundreds of limes for the last 6 months or so. I am down to 20, they are in the frig and they are ok. Anyways, tonight we are having Reverb Crash, I have a few grapefruits left on the tree so I made the drink and used a few.

I went classic tonight instead of tiki.
The Sazerac was, of course, fabulous.
And then I got into the '47 Vic book and whipped up a Commodore.
1.5 oz rye, 1/2 a lime, coupla dashes orange bitters, and a tsp of simple syrup.
Delicious!

S

Just got a bottle of Orgeat from Tiki Traders, so I went ahead and made a Wailani from the recipe on the bottle.
Good stuff!!

That looks delicious.
What's going on in that Appleton bottle?

Scottish Squirrel. Looks like punch. Tastes of leatherbound books and mahogany.

I was wondering about that Appleton bottle too? Is the top sawed off?

Yeah, actually it's a candle somebody bought for me.

Cream Gin Fizz for myself. Jim's Special for my girlfriend. My drink seems to have an aura around it...

Having a Big Brown Nut at the Tonga Hut by mixologist extraordinaire Hiphipahula!
Yum!

Donga Punch

Coconut Kallaloo

Great pics, guys!
I won't post one, cause tonight I'm drinking Appleton 12 Year neat... and as lovely as that is, I think it's safe to assume everyone knows what that looks like.
Nice Ron Burgundy nod up there, too.

Molokai Mule

10:30 am. Long Island Iced Tea

Not really. Fell asleep after I had this last night. Didn't want a picture to go to waste...

One more...
Hai Karate.

Love those bamboo shaped glasses~!

I had another Root and root beer on ice today after a sunny afternoon bike ride.
Refreshing!

Twin Fogcutters for me and the wife.

MN

Pure Hoppyness @ O'Brien's Pub. Mmmmm!!

A celebratory Montego Bay after a looong dentist visit.

H

Gin Martini with extra olives.

W

A fogcutter.

I just drank half of a Tortuga. The other half is spilled all over the concrete, surrounded by pieces of a broken bamboo glass at my neighborhood jacuzzi. Bummer.

And Stephen Blickenstaff artwork in the frame.

Swizzle with La Favorite, Appleton 12 Year, grapefruit, lime, cinnamon syrup, allspice dram, and apricot brandy.
Frggn awesome.

Prior, we had Mai-Tais made to Martin's specs on his FB video from today. Good, but I think our limes were a little past prime, so it was more bitter than I like.

Oh my God, I can hardly wait to get my copy of 'Remixed'. In the meantime, I just got off work and it's time to relax. That's a Blue Hawaii with Demerara Rum in place of the Vodka...

The bar. Not mine thank goodness. :D

I swore I'd never have a Miehana until I acquired the proper mug to drink it in, but the prices are ridiculous for these things on Ebay lately... So here's my 'nude' Miehana in a boring old Collins glass. (Still tasted great)

Picon Punch

H

Mai tai with Saint James, Lemon Heart, and Marie Brizard, fresh lime, fresh mint. It's just perfect.

H

What Hiltiki said, day two, tasty.

J

The Last drink I had yesterday was Wildsville's Palm Springs Punch...and man, what a punch!

6 inches of snow so far here in NW Denver, so the only rational thing to do (of course) is to make Mai-Tais and fuggedabowdit.

Got too silly last night.

And now... The Potted Parrot... for the potted Chango.

Okay... last one... then it's lights out.
Thankfully, the wife is splitting it with me.

Ladies and gentlemen, The Rum Barrel...

Nighty-night.

Double Mai Tai using the Grog Log recipe.. (My third this evening) This oughta just about finish me off.

The Fortress of Solitude.

WOW! great presentation. Unless your Superman you might want to put a straw in that drink. Whats in it?

Beachbum's Own (Remixed version). O this is wonderful, but really tart! Will scale back on the lemon juice next time.... Bought myself a bottle of Licor 43 and this was one of the few drinks that called for it.

S

I love the Beachbum's Own. Have to say it's one of my favourite drinks.

Been tripping through the 70s version of the Trader Vic's bartending manual while waiting for my copy of Remixed to get here.

Foul Weather - A really nice orangey, lemoney, vanillaey, passion fruity, rummy drink.

Orange Daquiri - It is what it sounds like... and with the La Favorite Agricole, it is a boozy delight.

Jamaican Honeybee - On deck... honey, lemon, and dark rum... MMMM.

Yet another delicious tiki Friday here on the Front Range.
