Three or four decades of playing professionally burned her out. Her steel is set up ready to go, but she finds excuses to not play. She started on upright bass before guitar then steel guitar beginning in the 1950's. As for partying, she WAS that girl in the Shag paintings. In the 1960's our Siamese cats were named Tiki and Taboo, a fact I forgot until recently! We had the black leopard statue, curtains of beads, jeannie bottles, atomic sunburst clock, giant fork and spoon, tiki mugs, you name it. https://www.facebook.com/bill.turner2?ref=tn_tnmn#!/photo.php?fbid=2242827345625&set=a.2222014025305.2102541.1096332124&type=3&theater She's looking forward to attending this year if her health allows. She could certainly tell a lot of stories about the steel people, country and rockabilly people that will be the focus this year! Please say "Hello" if you see her! |
