Exotica channel removed from XM Radio!

Hey Everybody,

I know I haven't seen too many of you in a while, but there's something happening that you'll want to know about. For those of you who do not have XM Satellite radio, one of the stations and the best reason to subscribe was a channel called "On The Rocks" which featured funky lounge, cocktail and tons of exotica music. These guys had an amazing collection of really rare recordings.

As of August first they sacrificed this truly unique offering to make space for a couple of new Latin channels (most likely intended for a quick sales spurt from the hispanic community).

There has been a huge outcry on behalf of the listeners that you can see for yourself at

"On The Rocks" was a great channel and is already missed. If they return this channel to the line-up I'd suggest that all of you who love exotica music should subscribe, but until then, there's not much for you at XM.

There's info about writing a note to the program director in those forums in the above link. There's also a link to an online petition (the comments people made give you an idea what the station was like) at...

Please help bring exotica music back by taking just a moment to to tell the right people that there is an audience for it.

Thanks and hope to see you soon!

Thanks, I'm on the right track now. I tried to search first, honest! But I waited for 10 minutes and the search never came back...

Please support our effort to get the "On The Rocks" channel back. Send a note to xm and sign the petition.
