Mauna Loa May Soon Erupt

Just caught this on the news:

I imagine it would be quite the sight to see. Anyone here view the last eruption?

I saw the "small" eruption in 1975, only a "30", so we saw it from the summit viewing area until we were told it was closing for safety.
The image of arcs of lava erupting is as clear in my mind today as if it were last week, and I can't say that about things that did happen last week! Words don't convey the sight, combined with the urge to stay & watch the lava leap into the air, and the opposite nervous anticipation to get as far away from it as quickly as possible.
