Chia Moai?

Pages: 1 1 replies

A few years ago in San Diego, I saw a Chia Moai in a storefront, and got a big kick out of it. It was about the size of a normal chia pet (cow, dog, etc) but sprouted chia hair on top and the back of his head. Anyone know where you can find one of these? I have searched the web, but am thinking it might have been a one of a kind. Maybe an idea for anyone who throws clay or dabbles in terracotta...

Now this guy may have been having me on, but he was pretty convincing at the time just in case anybody Knows differently....
....But, a few years ago I had just arrived in Apia Samoa and booked into some Fleapit down by the Harbour for the night before I could get the boat to Savai'i.
It was Absolutely pissing it down, so the few of us staying there sat in the front porch with a crate of beer and got talking.
Turns out one of the guys (a Samoan) invented the Chia and lived of the profits travelling the world and going to EVERY Rolling Stones concert they played.
So those chia things apparently originated in the SP which may or may not be of interest to anyone
