For those that keep track of such things...
On 11/04/2004, Kai Fee Chin passed away at the age of 98. Mr. Chin was the head chef at the Palm Springs location and later was the Exec. Chef for the entire chain...talked to some people in Palm Springs and they still remember the food.

...but as the oldtimers pass on, there is talk of a rebirth of Don's, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Let's hope this is true, and done right.
