Petty Booka, the world-famous ukulele duo of lovely Japanese women, are coming to the Bay Area for a series of Bay Area appearances from December 2-6, including the spotlight set at the Fillmore on Saturday December 4 on Dan Hicks' annual Christmas bash. Petty Booka is the popular Tokyo ukulele female duo that has rocked the South By Southwest music festival in Austin three years running. After a decade of popularity in Japan, the girls have both their first-ever USA release, “Let’s Talk Dirty In Hawaiian” (Weed Records), and also a fine Christmas release “Christmas Everywhere” (Weed Records) in stores everywhere. Their holiday release is quickly getting a buzz from airplay on Dr. Demento, the Disney Radio Network and many indie and college stations.
