Okay, so I came up wiht two drink recipies, but I've had a few drinks tonight trying to come up with new concoctures. Undoubtedly, they're aweful, but at the moment they taste pretty good. So, if anyone else is daring enough to mix them, please let me know how they taste. Aloha!

Arthur Lyman
3oz Coconut Juice
2oz Papaya Juice
2oz Dark Jamaican Rum
1oz White Jamaican Rum
1/2oz Grenadine
1 Dash Rock Candy Syrup

Jilted Virgin
6oz Passion Fruit Juice
2oz Barbados Rum
1oz Dark Jamaican Rum
3/4oz Sweet and Sour Mix
3/4oz Grenadine
Tsp Rock Candy Syrup

They're similar, and yet taste very different. I think.

Excellent names!

I think a solid name can really add a lot of interest to a tiki drink well before one tastes it.

My favorite invention? "Haitian Boat People"

Made with Rhum Barbancourt of course.

Cheers!

Oh come on, someone has to try it.

Aren't you a little curious?

I know not everyone here saves drinking for the weekend.

K

I'll have to get some passion fruit juice from the grocery this weekend. Then I'll try it for ya.

Wooohooo!!! A brave soul.

I just made a close version of the 'jilted virgin' and it's pretty dang tasty! I used guava juice because I didn't have passion fruit juice...So I guess I'm really having a 'jilted virgin-in-waiting'. Thanks for the yummy recipes! I'll give the Arthur Lyman a try later...my coconut juice looks a little old and congealed and nasty. (sigh)

Hmmm...I'll have to try those. They sound very good. I've never used coconut juice. That's not the Coco Lopez coconut cream or coconut milk is it?

Here's one that along the same theme as the Arthur Lyman:

Martin Denny's Hypnotique

1.5oz of a good gin
1oz Hypnotiq liqueur
1oz Pyrat Superior Blanco (or Cruzan white rum, needs to be a smooth white rum)
.25oz De Kuypers Pineapple Liqueur
.5oz Orgeat syrup
.5oz key lime juice (Nelly and Joe's bottled key lime is A-OK)
1 shake bitters

Shake with ice cubes to get as cold as possible (keep the booze in the freezer helps) and strain into a Martiki glass.

Use a little more key lime juice if it suits you. Try it!
