Oser Bikini Bar

I was recently walking around in Tribeca and I stumbled across a place called Bikini Bar - it was closed but looked like a really great and eclectic place. Some quick google-ing seemed to indicate that the place was a vintage surf store open by appointment only but I'm not exactly sure if this is correct. Does anyone know the deal with this place, 'cause it looks like a great place to have a drink.

thanks

it's not really a bar, or at least it wasn't about a year ago (although, they may rent it out for private parties). it's a vintage hawaiiana shop. incredible stuff inside!!!!

viewing is by appointment only (or again that's what it was a year ago).

the owners are really friendly.

if you find anything out that's to the contrary of my dated info, i'd love to know more!

btw, welcome to tiki central. do you live in ny?

Thanks - it's too bad, the place would make a great bar.

Yes I live in New York - in my opinion the best Tiki-esque bar in the city is Hurricane Hopeful in Williamsburg.
