What single object of Kische?

Pages: 1 20 replies

Money being no object (or time) would you want...just one.

That Witches Bakery House near Big Bear (Candyland looking)

Big Al in the Passenger seat while you're in the Diamond lane?

A wavy fiberglass slide a hundred feet tall?

That A Frame chalet with an Geodesic room addition?

A Maidenform Bra.

Did you mean to say "kitsch"?

At night, this sign is lit up with green neon!

Growing up, the dream of owning the Weener Wagon were always near.

Simple everyday things, like a leaky radiator would be hilarious image, (either steaming or a spray of steam)

I also thought it would be fun to be a Coroner and drive the Weener Wagon.

I have spotted this however which rivals the Weener...a Kiss Koffin.

this 22 feet of HunkaHunka Burning Fiberglass sat atop a fried chicken joint in Los Angeles. ironic that he's holding a bucket of chicken.. hm. maybe this belongs in the "If we're not supposed to eat people, why are they made out of meat?" thread...

anyways. i'd love to have CB in my front yard. for more info click below...

Yeah! I've always wanted to put one of these in my yard and then put up a sign that reads "WARNING - PROTECTED BY GIANT"

I'd like to buy the old Vancouver Trader Vic's and put it in my backyard. Or maybe find an appropriate spot and open 'er up for business!

(A fellow who lives about 30 minutes away from me has it on his property...he actually had it barged over to the island)

I'd have to say the Jungle Safari cruise setup in our backyard.Would be fun to have cocktail cruises in the summer,in winter, maybe ice skate around the river.Either way,it would be a blast.

K

That's easy, the Kahiki.

I'd want the Kahiki and some land to put it on.

Now, when do we get our wishes granted?

I want a Bob's Big Boy

Dangergirl...a moment of gloat...I actually own the last Bob ever made. (Statue, not restaurant)

My GF and I split up and Bob and I had to get our own place...I was driving my truck with him in the back loosly tied when from out of nowhere he friggin took off.

He flew about 40 feet up, spinning like a helicopter. I watched in horror as cars slid all around him and me on Hwy 87 at 4:30...but nobody crashed and nobody hit Bob. (His Burger did break off the plate tho)

I had the shakes for about an hour after, but it was one of the most amuzing things I've ever seen...Cars stopped at all sorts of odd angles druing rush hours as I picked up Bob and the stray Burger.

It's a charmed life I lead, I tell ya.

So where does this Bob now reside? In your garage? In your living room? I suppose you could put it in front of your house and convert it into a mailbox. Please tell..

Noooooooo!

Were you able to put him back together?

He is available, you just need a front yard that's zoned for him. Before the latest incarnation of ChickenBoy.com I was asking around about him & found information about him on Lotta Living. Here's the thread I started there.

Maybe he means this:

gigantalope - you rock!

can you post a pic of your Big Bob?

and, if you ever feel the need to get rid of him, can I have the right of first refusal?

A slight technical clarification....

The character is known as "Big Boy." Not Bob.

Bob is the name of the owner/founder, Bob Wian. The "Big Boy" is not a depiction of the owner, but rather a chubby little child who visited his restaurant in Glendale. Bob called the kid "Big Boy," and named his trademark double-decker hamburger after him.

Just as nobody would call the world's most famous Mouse "Mr. Disney", we shouldn't rename "Big Boy" after his creator either!

And in different regions, the restaurants are known by different names. Kip's Big Boy, Shoney's Big Boy, Marc's Big Boy, perhaps more.

Big Boy trivia fans will of course recall that his girlfriend's name is Dolly, and his dog's name is Nugget!

I looked into buying a muffler man once but it went at auction for $10,000...way too rich for me. It's last home had been atop a porn place in Missouri; its a pity they didn't put anything topical in it's hands.

I did manage to score the smaller version of the dinosaur used by Sinclair and various miniature golf courses; it was made by the same company that did the muffler men http://www.roadsideamerica.com/muffler/origin3.html I've had a lot of fun with it over the years, most recently, here: http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=12161&forum=6&5
