It did however have steel drums playing, so I'm sure the tiki blue bloods wouldn't think to highly of it. But it was cool to see Palm Springs enter their first flost, and have a tropical theme to it. Maybe the folks at Caliente Tropics can influence the city float makers to tiki-fy it next year. TG

The steel drum band finished a long tune and then stopped playing. The crowd in our bleachers started screming "more, more, more" and they cranked out another tune much to everyones pleasure. The steel drummers appeared to be rather young. It's good to see the younger generation take an interest in instruments NOT related to Hip Hop/Rap (if there are even any instruments in that stuff?)
